We have all struggled at times with feelings of doubt or low self worth. There is nothing wrong with it, all it means is you’re human! Self-doubt is a natural emotion that we all experience but there are things that everyone can do to break free from the trap.
Have these feelings prevented you from sharing your craft, skill or ability with the rest of the world to see because you don’t feel you are good enough at it?
Are you stalling on finding love until you get in better shape or find the perfect job?
Have you not truly pursued your goals like running a marathon or climbing a mountain because you don’t believe in yourself?
The truth is that you are capable of accomplishing what you want NOW and the success you seek is RIGHT around the corner!
Overcoming self-doubt doesn’t have to be hard and I’m going to share a simple, tangible way to drop into your amazingly strong body. You will feel ready to step into the new, confident you that you were meant to be.
After just 3 minutes you will be ready to finally say, “YES!” to that thing you have been putting off because of the lies in your head.
People talk about overcoming doubt in a variety of ways, but may favorite methods are always concrete. I like straight forward things I can do to get results. I bet you do too, so keep reading to find the quickest and best way to boost your confidence now.
Standing yoga poses are the best way to boost confidence right away. Tree Pose, Warrior I and Warrior II are three poses that will get you to this place in just 3 minutes.
Tree Pose
>> Balance on your right foot. Bend the knee on the left leg and bring the left foot up the right leg on the ankle, calf or inner thigh. Place your hands together in a prayer position in front of the heart. Breathe deeply for 1 minute and then switch sides.
Warrior I
>> Step your left foot back into a lunge position. Then, spin your back foot flat at a 45 degree angle. Your front foot should point straight forward. Bend your front knee to a 90 degree angle so your knee is over the ankle. Your back leg should be straight and your right foot a bit to the right and left foot a bit to the left. Extend your arms up towards the sky and breathe deeply for 1 minute. Switch sides.
Warrior II
>> Step your left foot back into a lunge position. Then, spin your back foot flat at a 45 degree angle. Your front foot should point straightforward. Bend your front knee to a 90 degree angle so your knee is over the ankle. Your back leg should be straight and your heels should be lined up. Extend your right arm forward and your left arm back so your arms are parallel with the floor. Breathe deeply for 1 minute and then switch sides.
Standing yoga poses get you into your strong body, help you connect to the present moment and all that you really are… which is pure
amazingness. That is why they are so effective to boost confidence quickly and the best part is you can do this anytime, anywhere.
While your practice these three standing yoga poses focus on feeling your feet on the ground, the strength in your body and your breath. You can trying closing your eyes once you feel rock solid for an added bonus. If you need to modify for the sake of balance you can simply use the wall or a chair for support.
